J.P. Exports: The strength of a creative instinct
Rajkot-based, J.P. Exports is one of the largest manufacturer and supplier of CNC bangles and CNC bands. With a long standing association with the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS), the company has experienced business growth since it began participating in the show. Chetanbhai J. Satikunvar, Founder and Managing Director, J. P. Exports, shares with Floroscent about the opportunities IIJS brings for his company, expectations from the 2018 edition and market outlook.
A first generation entrepreneur, Chetanbhai J. Satikunvar entered into the gem and jewellery business 35 years ago with a vision to deliver great customer service, quality products and competitive prices. In his starting days, he believed that there was scope to start his own company specialising in good quality jewellery. In 2008, because of his confidence in ability to choose the right products and sell them, he started J.P. Exports.
For Chetan, IIJS played a vital role in the growth and expansion of his company. “We have been participating at the show for the last eight years. Over the years, the show has helped us in making new contacts which has resulted into the growth of our business,” he shared.
He informed that J.P. Exports start preparing for the show four to five months in advance to bring new innovations to the fore. “Each year, as per the market trends, we develop new design concepts. This year too, we are going to launch four new collections in our CNC range,” he added.
Being a focused business house with quality customer base, IIJS has become an important platform for J.P. Exports to meet their existing clients as well as develop new business ties. “IIJS is an ideal
business networking platform. The show allows us to have face to face meetings with our clients. It is not possible to meet everyone all year long. Thus, at IIJS, we seize the opportunity to meet with all our clients under one roof, understand their requirements and serve them better,” he revealed.
Like always, J.P. Exports has high hopes from the show. “We are very optimistic for 2018 show. This years’ show will be way better than the last year. At this edition, we wish to create more awareness about our products and expand our client base to include places where we haven’t
been able to make in-roads,” he shared.
Talking about the market scenario post the show, Chetan is confident that business will flourish. “At present, the jewellery market is slack. But as IIJS is the perfect time for retailers to procure inventory just ahead of the buying season, I’m optimistic that business will look up post IIJS 2018,” he concluded.
